Are you Sure...

I am asking you the most important question of your life.

The question is: ARE YOU SAVED? It is not a question of how good you are, nor if you are a church member, but ARE YOU SAVED? Are you 100% sure that you will go to Heaven when you die?

You can know! 1 John 5:13 "These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye may know that ye have eternal life, and that ye may believe on the name of the Son of God". (KJV)

God says in order to go to Heaven, you must be born again. John 3:7 "Marvel not that I said unto thee, Ye must be born again". (KJV)

In the Bible God gives us the plan of how to be born again which means to be saved. His plan is simple! You can be saved today!

First, you must realize you are a sinner. Romans 3:23 "For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God; (KJV) Rom3:10 As it is written, There is none righteous, no, not one:" (KJV)

Because you are a sinner, you are condemned to death. Romans 6:23a "For the wages of sin is death; (KJV) [wages is what you earn, and what you earn from sinning is death] This includes eternal separation from God in hell."

But God loves YOU so much he sent His Son Jesus to bear your sin and die in your place! John 3:16 "For God so loved the world, that He gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life." (KJV) Romans 5:8 "But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us." (KJV) 2Corinthians 5:21 "For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him." (KJV)

Although we cannot understand how, God said that my sins and yours were laid upon Jesus and that He died in our place. He became our substitute. It is true. God cannot lie. Titus 1:2 "In hope of eternal life, which God, that cannot lie, promised before the world began;" (KJV)

Jesus had to shed His blood and die. Leviticus 17:11 "For the life of the flesh is in the blood: and I have given it to you upon the altar to make an atonement for your souls: for it is the blood that maketh an atonement for the soul." (KJV) Hebrews 9:22 "And almost all things are by the law purged with blood; and without shedding of blood is no remission. (KJV)

God commanded all men to repent. Acts17:30 "And the times of this ignorance God winked at; but now commandeth all men every where to repent:" (KJV) This repentance is a change of mind that agrees with God that all are sinners, and also agrees with what Jesus did for us on the cross.

The Philippian jailer asked Paul and Silas: Acts 16:30b "Sirs, what must I do to be saved?" (KJV) Acts 16:31 "And they said, Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved, and thy house." (KJV)

Simply believe (rely upon) on Him as the one who bore your sin, and died in your place, was buried, and was resurrected the third day according to the scriptures. Luke 24:46 "And said unto them, Thus it is written, and thus it behooved Christ to suffer, and to rise from the dead the third day:" (KJV) His resurrection assures that the believer can claim everlasting life when Jesus is received as Savior. John 1:12 "But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name:" (KJV)

Romans 10:13 "For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved." (KJV) Whosoever is any one (you). Call is to ask. The name of the Lord is Jesus. Shall be saved is not maybe, nor hope to be, but SHALL BE SAVED. So if you ask Jesus to save you, He will!

Surely, you realize you are a sinner. Right now, wherever you are, repenting lift your heart to God in prayer.

Say something like this: Dear God, I know I am a sinner, and I need you to go to Heaven. I believe Jesus was my substitute when He died on the cross. I believe His shed blood, death, burial, and resurrection were for me. I now receive Him as my Savior. I thank You for the forgiveness of my sins, the gift of salvation and everlasting life, because of Your merciful grace. Amen

Just take God at His word and claim His salvation by faith. Believe and you WILL be saved. No church, or lodge, or even good works can save you. Ephesians 2:8 "For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:" (KJV) Ephesians 2:9 "Not of works, lest any man should boast." (KJV) Remember God does the saving...all of it!
